| Netherwood Chapel | ||||

||||
Netherwood was been an incredible opportunity - to design a contemporary chapel and wedding venue - catering for the discerning client. Anatomy undertook a focus of simplicty- allowing the structure to be a design element in itself. The design language orientates around combining the contemporary design with found traditional elements - for example, state of the art frameless glass stacking doors contrasted with vintage railway sleepers. The rolling countryside made a perfect canavs to play with glass, steel and stone building materials - with picture windows framing the setting perfectly. Anatomy Design was commissioned to complete a full architectural solution :

| The chapel was on the hill when the farm was purchased by the current owners. It was terribly neglected - and it was decided to retain the existing roof structure - and extend to both sides with glass"wings " - so that one could see straight through the structure. This allowed for the entire chapel to open up on all sides on a beautiful day - literally, allowing nature into the space. | ||||

A full set of working drawings were produced - detailing all construction details, services, lighting, electrical and spatial requirements. All Shopfitting details were provided from the custom podim design, through to the custom steel shelving seen in the stone-clad pulpit. |
